Our Purpose

In the immediate future, through individual efforts and networking, we will address the Southern California region Marine Life Protective Act (MLPA) implementation so that the outcomes from the implementation of that Act align with our common vision and goals and inure to the benefits of divers. We will be represented at all levels through our inputs to the general public, Regional Stake Holders (RSG members), members of the Blue Ribbon Task Force (BRTF), the Department of Fish and Game commission, the legislature and the governor’s office.

In the long run, the Watermen’s Alliance will continue its advocacy, outreach and education efforts to further our stated vision and goals and work on issues that affect diver access throughout California.
